Home Extensions in St. Austell
More space, without the upheaval of moving
Running out of room doesn't have to mean moving house. Building out or up is often the cheaper and less disruptive option, and it adds value to the property rather than handing it to an estate agent. Whether you're after a bigger kitchen, an extra bedroom, a home office or a full two-storey addition, we'll build it properly and hand it back finished.
We've delivered extensions across St Austell, Par, Fowey, Truro and the wider Cornwall area, on everything from small terraced properties to large detached homes. We're fully insured, we work to building regulations, and we're happy to talk the project through before you commit to anything.Est. 2024 - 5 star Google Rating - Fully Insured - Cornwall-Wide
Extensions in St Austell
Every extension starts with the same questions. What do you actually need the space for, what will the property take, and what will it cost. We'll come out, look at the site, and give you straight answers before you spend anything. If the plan you've got in mind isn't the best use of the budget, we'll say so.
From there we handle the lot. We work alongside architects, structural engineers and the local authority so your extension is signed off properly, not just built. Groundworks, foundations, structure, roof, windows, first and second fix, plastering and decorating, all managed by the same team with one point of contact throughout. You'll know what's happening on your property and why.

Common House Extension Questions
Got a question about your extension? Here are some of the ones we're asked most often. If yours isn't covered, just give us a call and we'll be happy to help.-
Not always. A lot of single-storey extensions fall under permitted development, which means no full planning application. It depends on the size, the height, how close you are to a boundary and whether the property has been extended before. We'll tell you where you stand at the first visit, and handle the application if one's needed.
-
It depends on the size, the ground conditions, the spec and how much of the existing property has to be altered. We give free, no-obligation quotes with the costs broken down, so you can see exactly what you're paying for before anything starts.
-
A straightforward single-storey extension usually runs to somewhere between eight and twelve weeks on site. Two-storey work and anything involving significant structural alterations takes longer. We'll give you a realistic programme with the quote rather than an optimistic one.
-
In most cases yes. We'll seal the works off from the rest of the property and keep the site tidy, and we'll be upfront about the stages where things get noisy or where services need turning off. If a job genuinely does mean moving out for a period, we'll tell you at quote stage rather than halfway through.
-
No. We cover the whole of Cornwall, including Par, Fowey, Mevagissey, Charlestown, St Blazey, Truro and further afield.
